Dawn Lundell

I grew up in the northeast (I'm a Jersey Girl!) and attended college in the Hudson Valley area of New York state. I did my graduate work at the University of Northern Colorado where I earned a master's degree in earth sciences. I have taught for 13 years. This will be my 10th year at Lyons Elementary School. I have taught Kindergarten, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade.  Over the past 4 summers I taught a hands-on science camp and had a blast working with grades 1 - 5. During the school year I work with the STEM Explorers program and lead Science/Technology/Engineering/Math units after school for LES students.

Lyons has been my home for 15 years now and I have two children that attend school here in town.  I love to be outdoors and spend a lot of time hiking, riding my bike and working in my garden. In the winter I enjoy skiing and snowshoeing with my friends and kids. I have a small flock of backyard chickens and enjoy watching their antics. Our new puppy is keeping us busy and making us laugh a lot!  I love to make meals for family and friends, read and take photographs. I plan to continue helping as an assistant coach for the Lyons High School Mountain Bike Team. It should be fun!
