I am thrilled to join the Lyons Elementary community this year! My journey in education began when doing a comparative study of alternative methods of education in India, South Africa and Brazil during a study abroad program in college. Since that experience I have worked teaching literacy through AmeriCorps, with gifted middle schoolers in Denver and Boulder, teaching fourth and fifth grades for six years and most recently serving as the Associate Head of School for an independent school in Boulder. It has been a long-time dream for my family and me to set roots in the Lyons community and after ten years of living here, I am humbled and honored to be teaching fifth grade.  I look forward to meeting you all and may just see you walking around town with one of my daughters (Wilder, age 4 and Tobin, age 7), my partner Carter, our small rat terrier Macaroni and new pup Martha.
