Superintendent Update - Advancing the Future

Dear St. Vrain Valley Schools Community,

New Yearbook Club at LES

Headed up by Mrs. Browning and Ms. Kutrumbos, Lyons Elementary School will have it's first Yearbook Club.  3rd and 4th graders are invited to sign up.  The group will meet twice a month during lunchtime and work on cover design, create a time capsule collage that will be printed in the yearbook, as well as take photos at assigned events and classrooms throughout the year.  This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in graphic design, art, photography and learning about how books are made!

Lyons Elementary Garden is Bountiful.....

The Lyons Elementary School Garden is off to a good start again this year.  With 4 donations to the Food Bank, the bounty has already heading towards the 100 pound mark.  The garden harvests were able to provide more than 300 pounds of fresh, delicious vegetables last year and with our new Hoop House built by LCF grant funding we are hoping to extend our harvest season to allow us to donate even more!  Students with the Eco/Garden Club assist with the picking and delivering to LEAF.
