With students surpassing the Jogathon goal to raise $25,000 - earning over $51,000 this year- LES will hold our Halloween Parade and MONSTER MASH on Tuesday, October 31st from 1:30-2:30 pm. LES parent and Mayama Dance Studio proprieter, Ali Kishiyama, will lead students to Halloween classics like Thriller and more. Parents are welcome to attend this event which will take place on our playground, weather permitting.

LES Students took a jog on the WILD SIDE, running laps, earning pledges and winning prizes at the Annual Jogathon. Students earned over $51,000 which will be used for field trips, classroom materials, AIR assemblies, Science and Leadership programming and MORE! Thank you to our Jogathon Committee members and the LES Community for planning and support of this amazing event.

On August 21, students across St. Vrain Valley Schools experienced the 'Great American Eclipse' through district-provided safety viewing glasses, indoor live-streaming and immersive classroom activities.
The start of a new academic year is one of my favorite times to visit our schools and talk with our students, families, teachers and staff. Our hallways are filled with a palpable optimism and drive to continue our momentum toward the highest levels of academic growth and success.
The John Irwin awards are given to schools that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement over time. These schools received an Exceeds Expectations rating on the Academic Achievement indicator of the School Performance Frameworks reflecting exceptional performance in Math, English Language Arts, and Science. Lyons Elementary School is honored to be a recipient for the 2015-16 school year awarded March of 2017.
