For the love of math!  and Art! 

Math is a Pattern... A Workshop for Parents.

Lyons Elementary School is sponsoring a presentation by CU Professor, Elisabeth Stade at the Lyons Regional Library on March 10th beginning at 6:30 pm.  In this Parent Workshop, Elisabeth will apply the techniques of looking at art to Mathmatics.  She will look at both real art and real math.  Elisabeth will explore techniques that can help you guide your children - even if you have no idea what they are doing!

BINGO Night has been cancelled but don't worry!  Raffle Baskets winners will not be drawn until everyone has been given a chance to place their tickets in preferred jars.  Fingers Crossed!

2020 Superintendent Meetings

Join the St. Vrain Valley Schools Superintendent and Board of Education to engage in a visioning conversation around the purpose of public education, the future direction of the district, and goals to ensure continued alignment between strategic priorities and community needs.

Talent Show!

Our Annual Talent Show will be held this Friday, February 21st.  Kindergarten through 3rd grades will perform beginning at 8:30 am.  4th and 5th grades will perform beginning at 1:00 pm.  Don't miss this SPECTACULARLY FUN event.

Recycle! Chip bags, snack wrappers, toothpaste tubes and MORE!

With the help of parent volunteers, Lyons Elementary will be expanding the items we take for recycling.  Currently we take used markers of all brands and used printer cartridges but we will be adding toothpaste tubes, shampoo bottles, Cliff Bar (foil lined snack wrappers and chip bags of all sizes.  We will be working with Terracycle to recycle these items.  Let us know if you have any questions.

 

Closing the loop at the LES Student Store

LES Second Grade students along with Eco Club members are working on closing the loop this year with Student Store.  The primary focus of the Student Store, which is open every Tuesday from 7:40 am to 8:00 am, is to help teach Second Grade students about money.  In past years many of the items for sale were small plastic items that often ended up right into the trash.  To go along with our Green Star School focus, this year Eco Club members have worked to pick items that can be composted or recycled and/or are made from recycled items.  We are very excited to have added

Lyons Elementary partners with RMNP for some amazing experiences!

Forget that long, boring bus drive to Denver!  All grade levels will be participating in some amazing field trips this spring in RMNP. 

Field Trip Programs

Grades K-2 Winter Detectives Students become winter detectives and search for clues to solve the mysteries of winter in Rocky Mountain National Park. By looking for signs of life in the snow, students will discover a completely different world that exists only during the winter.
