Buddy Bench …finding friends at Lyons Elementary

Kid’s don’t have to be lonely at recess anymore!  Thanks to Ryan Graeden, Blue Mountain Stone and the LES PTO, a new “Buddy Bench” has been installed on the LES playground.  The concept of this bench came to the US via a German school with now more than 2,000 benches installed at playgrounds all over the country.  Students sitting alone on the bench works as a signal to others on the playground that they are in need of a mate.  We can’t wait to see the bench in action!
