Congressman Jared Polis visisted Lyons Elementary School recently, presenting to 4th grade students and checking out his photo taken during the “Shine” project following the flood.  The Congressman was so impressed with our students, he decided it should be an annual event!

Chicks and butterflies! Shine and Fluffy are the first two little chicks to make their way into Kindergarten classrooms with more peck, peck, pecking their way out every day.  Meanwhile in First Grade classrooms, butterflies are emerging ready to take flight!  

The next installment of our AIR Program for this year, Darol Anger, performed on April 24th.  Darol Anger, fiddler, treated the students with music and improv for LES students.
