This is my tenth year teaching here at Lyons Elementary, however, I have taught for 22 years at the elementary and middle school levels. I grew up in Colorado Springs and went to Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO where I earned my Bachelor's Degree.  I then received my Master's Degree in K-12 Reading from UNC.  I taught in Bayfield, CO (just outside Durango) for 5 years.  My family and I moved to Montana in 2005 where I taught for another 8 years.  I have been a classroom teacher in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades as well as a K-8 Reading Intervention Specialist and Instructional Coach.  My family and I moved back to Colorado in 2014. My husband, Cory, and I have two wonderful children, Hailey and Scott. We love to hike, ski and camp in the beautiful CO mountains!
