Dawn Lundell

I grew up in the northeast (I'm a Jersey Girl!) and attended college in the Hudson Valley area of New York state. I did my graduate work at the University of Northern Colorado where I earned a master's degree in earth sciences. I have taught for 14 years. This will be my 11th year at Lyons Elementary School. I have taught Kindergarten, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade.  During the school year I work with the Vex Robotics after-school program.

Lyons has been my home for 16 years now and I have two teenagers.  I love to be outdoors and spend a lot of time in my yard and garden along with exploring RMNP or other mountain areas. In the winter I enjoy skiing and snowshoeing with my friends and kids. I have a small flock of backyard chickens and enjoy watching their antics. My dog, Frankie, is a major part of our family and we all love to play with him.   I love to make meals for family and friends, read and take photographs. I plan to continue volunteering as an assistant coach for the Lyons High School Mountain Bike Team. I fully enjoy watching my son and his friends race their bikes.
