About Me:

I am proud to say that I have been teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades at Lyons Elementary for 23 years. Before that, I taught 4th grade at an international school in Mexico for a year. I received my college degree in political science and history from Oklahoma State University, and my teaching credentials from the University of Colorado. Additionally, I hold a Masters in Reading Education.  I believe in exposing my students to a relaxed, yet controlled learning environment that challenges students to excel through motivation, enthusiasm, and humor.

I love living in Lyons with my wife, Amy, and 14 year old daughter, Macy. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking with our dog, Bode, and camping, fishing, skiing, and listening to live music all over the Rockies.
