I’m one of the 1st grade teachers here at Lyons Elementary School. This is my 18th year here at Lyons Elementary and my 28th year teaching! Lyons is a unique school. The community involvement and support here is essential to our student learning and I am thrilled to be a part of it!

I have an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech University, a degree in multicultural education from San Francisco State University and my masters from Regis University. I have taught grades K-6th and have explored many roles in education, such as being a mentor teacher, working with the district literacy leadership team, and being a member of our school leadership team.

I taught for a year in Tampico Mexico at an American school and worked at a school in Africa one summer. I love to travel and have been all through Europe, Mexico, Central America, and Africa!

I have a wonderful family that includes my husband, Carter, my 17 year old son Jack, and 15 year old daughter Ella. My family enjoys hiking, biking, camping and taking time to explore all that Colorado has to offer.
