I’m one of the 1st grade teachers here at Lyons Elementary School. This is my 12th year here at Lyons Elementary and my 22nd year teaching! Lyons is a unique school. The community involvement and support here is essential to our student learning and I am thrilled to be a part of it!

I have an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech University, my home state, and a degree in multicultural education from San Francisco State University. I have taught grades K-6th and have explored many roles in education,  such as being a mentor teacher, working with the district literacy leadership team, and a being a member of our school leadership team. 

I taught for a year in Tampico Mexico at an American school and worked at a school in Africa one summer.  I love to travel and have been all through Europe, Mexico, Central America, and Africa!

I have a wonderful family that includes my husband, Carter, my 10 year old son Jack, and 8 year old daughter Ella.  My family enjoys hiking, biking, camping and taking time to explore all that Colorado has to offer.
