I am thrilled to be part of the team at Lyons Elementary School. This is my fourth year at LES and I am excited for the fun and adventure of teaching first grade! I have a background in Earth Science specializing in Arctic and Antarctic climate change. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Prior to transitioning into education, I did climate research at CU Boulder and spent time as an environmental science writer. I have spent months conducting field work in polar regions but there’s no greater adventure than leading a classroom full of young people! It is a joy to work with your young learners.

I am from North Carolina and have lived in Lyons for the past 14 years. I live with my husband and 3 daughters, all who have come through Lyons Elementary School.
