New Yearbook Club at LES

Headed up by Mrs. Browning and Ms. Kutrumbos, Lyons Elementary School will have it's first Yearbook Club.  3rd and 4th graders are invited to sign up.  The group will meet twice a month during lunchtime and work on cover design, create a time capsule collage that will be printed in the yearbook, as well as take photos at assigned events and classrooms throughout the year.  This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in graphic design, art, photography and learning about how books are made!

Lyons Elementary School Supply List

LES has changes to the SVVSD Supply List...

Please note the requested changes to the SVVSD Supply List below:

Education, and the greatness of our nation

One of the most important institutions in our society is public education. Of the approximately 55 million K-12 aged children in the United States, it is estimated that 90 percent are enrolled in public schools. Second only to parenting, the longstanding institution of public education will have the greatest influence on America’s future.

In Colorado, we’ve experienced an ongoing discussion around the adequacy of resources for our public schools with mixed results.

Summer Lunch Program for Students

Students and families throughout our communities will be able to access free lunches this summer. Meals will be provided to any child under the age of 18. Adults with a child will be able to eat at "no charge" until funding dollars run out.

Meals will be provided at Countryside Village, Roth Rock Dell Park, Kanemoto Park, Carr Park and the Longmont Youth Center. Please review the flyer for days, times and activities.

Community Meeting with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office

Dear Lyons Community,

Thank you for your continued support of the teachers, staff and students who make St. Vrain Valley Schools such an outstanding environment for our children to thrive. This past year was truly remarkable with incredible growth in student achievement and many state recognitions for athletics, the arts and other co-curricular programs.

As we prioritize continuous improvement in academic achievement and student engagement, we also look for ways to enhance and secure our learning environments.
