Today we welcomed two amazing raptors from the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classrooms. From Barley the Swainson’s hawk and Cedar the Eastern Screech Owl, we learned all about the adaptations that make raptors such skilled hunters. We also also learned how we can be good stewards of our ecosystem to help protect our raptor friends. Thanks to the Lyons Ecology Advisory Board and the Lyons Community Foundation who sponsored this event!
