CONGRATULATIONS to 2nd and 3rd grade Spelling Bee Champ- Eli George!
With more than 40 eager Spellers, 3rd grader, Eli George finished the competition by correctly spelling the word “enlisted”. Coming in 2nd place was Elsie Thomas, also a 3rd grader. Our Spelling Clubs have met every Thursday at lunch to learn spelling techniques and hone their skills. Headed up by Mrs. Nancy Parker and assisted by staff members and volunteers, Mary Ann Bader, Mike Karavas, and Laura Neal work with students to get them ready for the BEE. Student then move on to the 4th and 5th grade Spelling Club where they can compete to move on to the District, State and National Championships.
