Trout in the Classroom – Ready for Release!

The Lyons Elementary School 5th graders led by Principal Moore and volunteer, Doug Bell, have been working hard all year to hatch and raise our little trout eggs to big ‘ol swimmers. Students were quite successful this year and will be releasing the trout into the river (following all State protocols for testing, etc.) on May 20th.

A big thank you to our partners with Trout in the Classroom, our amazing volunteers Doug Bell and Kara Bauman for making this program a success. Looking forward to working with our new crew for next year!
