LES Garden awarded LCF grant…Thank you for the LEAVES! Eco Club braves the snow….
LES Garden coordinators would like to thank the LCF for their continued support for our ongoing garden projects. This year we will be adding some removeable hoops to the beds and attempting to make our own soil. Thank you to everyone who supplied leaves, the Stone Cup for their ongoing collection of coffee grounds and to Scott Anderson for his knowledge and the giant soil making bags! As the construction of the back walkway progresses and we continue to expand, interested classrooms will be getting square foot beds for classroom use.
The Eco Club braved the snow for the CU Football game on November 17th to assist Ralphie’s Green Stampede as waste station goalies. It was cold and snowy but with 11 LES Eco Club representatives worked hard sorting bins. Thank you Claudia, Chastidee, Laura and Andy for your support!
