Looking For a Book to Read? 

Lyons Elementary School (LYEL) is excited to announce that students may now start requesting books to check out from our school library. We have so many great books to lend and want to get them in the hands of our students!  

 

You can select a book through the options below.  Then, for now, pick up books most Fridays from noon – 2:30 p.m.  Curbside pick up begins next Friday, September 11.  

 

How to Request of Library Book

  • Library Book Request Form – This form is for younger students’ families  or those who are having difficulty placing a “hold” directly in Destiny (see below). Fill out this form with information so we can choose a book for you based on your interest. If you know the title of the book you want you can just ask for that on the form as well. 

OR

  • Put a Hold on a book in Destiny, the tool 2nd – 5th graders use to find books in the “look up” stations in the LYEL library.  Go to this link for the steps for how to browse our library collection and to place a hold for check out:

Please place your hold by noon on Thursdays for the next day pick up.
