Greetings Mountain Lyons — Happy Thursday!
It’s hard to believe that tomorrow is the last Friday of the school year. Maybe I’m getting older, but the years seem to fly by faster and faster. I’ve had such a blast being with your children every day—they are joyful, creative, and caring, and they make this work so meaningful.
As we wrap up the year, here are a few important updates:
Technology Parent Night — Tonight at 6:00-7:00 PM
I’ll be hosting a Technology Night in the library to review our progress toward Healthy Digital Habits, sharing updates on how we use technology in the classroom, and discussing upcoming District changes. I’ll also walk you through how to set parental controls on your child’s iPad. Please bring your child’s iPad with you!
New Games Day — Monday
Monday is our annual New Games Day! Each grade will enjoy outdoor games led by our amazing 5th grade leaders. At 11:15 AM, we typically gather for our traditional all-school picnic, during which the graduating seniors from the Class of 2025 will parade through to our cheers and applause. We also plan to unveil this year’s Artist in Residence mural, led by our very own Mrs. Russ.
That said, the weather looks uncertain. We’ve prepared two schedules—one for outdoor activities and one for indoor activities in the gym. If we need to move indoors, we won’t be able to host the picnic, but parents are still welcome to join their child for lunch at their regular lunchtime. We’ll confirm which schedule we’re using by 7:15 AM on Monday morning.
PTO Board Openings
