Greetings Mountain Lyons!
Happy first full week of school! We’ve had such a wonderful time getting to know our new students and are looking forward to all the days ahead.
Next week, our 5th graders will take on leadership roles by guiding each classroom through our PBIS school-wide expectations. These student leaders will continue to support their assigned classrooms throughout the year, offering both academic and social mentorship to help build meaningful connections.
Mark your calendars! On Friday, September 12, at 8:00 a.m. on the upper playground, our 1st–5th grade students will celebrate last year’s outstanding growth on CMAS (our state assessment) and iReady (our national assessment). We are proud to share that Lyons earned two Colorado awards—the John Irwin Award for Excellent Achievement and the Governor’s Distinction Award for growth in reading and math. In addition, we received the National Superstretch Award from iReady, recognizing our students’ remarkable progress in both reading and math. We’ll host a simple celebration, and all families are invited to join us!
