Greetings Mountain Lyons,
Happy Thursday!
Our 3rd graders had a successful field trip to Rocky Mountain National Park today! It was chilly, but the snow made for excellent animal tracking. Students explored how animals adapt to survive and move in our mountain environment.
Yesterday, our high school Science and Leadership students led fantastic science and team-building activities during late start. Highlights included insect identification, hydroponic veggies for LEAF, and work on an A–Z exhibit book for the Redstone Museum. Honestly, lunch and recess with high school mentors might’ve been the biggest hit of the day 🙂
Next week, we dive into CMAS testing. These assessments offer students a chance to stretch their critical thinking, reasoning, comprehension, and writing skills. We take great care in reviewing this data to refine and strengthen our programming each year.
We’re looking ahead to all the fun spring events, so please take a moment to mark your calendars—we’ve got a lot in store!
Have a great rest of the week, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
In learning and growing,
Principal Moore
