Greetings Mountain Lyons,
Happy Thursday! We’re rolling right along, and yesterday’s Late Start was a blast. High School leaders ran One Fish, Two Fish (teamwork + bean bag smuggling!) and All Aboard (tarp shrinking challenge), while other groups worked in the park, the St. Vrain river, our school garden, and the Redstone museum. A great kick-off to this year’s community-based projects!
A few key announcements to share:
- Academic Celebration
Next Friday, September 12th at 8:00 a.m. (right after the bell), we’ll gather on the playground to celebrate student growth and achievement. The event will run about 20–25 minutes for grades 1–5, and yes, there will be a quick dance party! We’re also looking for a parent volunteer to join us as our Mountain Lyon Mascot (we have a costume:)—let us know if you’re interested. - Leadership St. Vrain
We are looking for parents to join Leadership St. Vrain, a monthly meeting where families can engage in high-level district conversations. If you’d like to learn more, here is a link to the Leadership St. Vrain website with details and dates! - Coffee with the Principal
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 1st at 8:00 a.m. for our first Coffee with the Principal. Depending on interest, I hope to host these monthly as topic-based conversations with families. We’ll share a flyer in upcoming announcements. - Stay Connected
