Greetings Mountain Lyons,
We are in the midst of Parent Teacher Conferences. Don’t worry, if you are among the few who haven’t yet signed up, it’s not too late! Reach out to the front office or your classroom teacher, and we’ll get you signed up! This is a critical touch point in your child’s journey this year.
I’m endlessly impressed by (and even more proud of) our students’ joy, curiosity, and excellence. We are working really hard to help our students relate to and take on our 4 Tenets: “We Build Trust”, “We Consider Perspectives”, “We Take Risks”, and “We Create and Innovate”. I encourage you to ask your child about the impact our Tenets have in their lives!
Celebrations
Our PTO sponsored Discovery Fair “Film Festival” was a huge success! We had 64 student participants who created 32 unique films. It was a celebratory event!
This week’s Late Start was so much fun. We learned a TON about perspective-taking through our two activities: The Human Knot, and Words From Strings. Also, the high school Science Leaders, who worked with Sarah Wegert all fall, developed and executed science lessons to our 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students!
Thank you for your continuous support and involvement in our school community. We look forward to more exciting events and learning experiences ahead!
Sincerely,
Principal Moore
